What’s In Your Everyday Makeup Bag

As ladies on the go, it’s important to have a few things: a beauty routine that is easy, tried & true, your cell phone, keys, wallet, and a makeup bag filled with goodies that keep you looking fresh throughout the day.

I love keeping a few essentials on me at all times in a cute little makeup bag. I use one from Rebecca Minkoff but you can use whichever fits everything you need.

I don’t carry around my entire beauty routine but I think it is good to keep the things that are important to you. I am a concealer junkie and I won’t leave the house without concealer, so I always keep one on me.

If you’re someone who cannot be without eyeliner, keep a spare favorite one in the on the go makeup bag.

My motto is to always be prepared for everything beauty related without packing your entire collection.

  1. Concealer: Like I mentioned above, concealer is my favorite makeup product and I always keep it in my bag, whether it’s to cover up any breakouts or just to reapply if anything fades. My favorite is the Baked Radiance Cream Concealer but lately I’ve been loving the easy application of our new Brighten & Conceal *(exclusive to QVC)
  2.  Mascara: I was never a mascara person but within the past year or so, I can not leave the house without it. I always keep a mini GlamLASH in my bag for mornings where I forget to apply it (this has happened when I don’t have any mascara on me) or when I feel like I need a touch up
  3. Lip balm: I don’t keep a lip color in my bag because I like to switch it up daily. I do, however, keep a variety of different lip balms in my makeup bag. I mentioned lip care in the winter skincare post, and it really is super important all year round. I love to keep a Glossier Balm Dot Com, Burts Bees Lip Balm, and the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm in my bag at all times. Each does something different, has a different application, and I like to have options.
  4. Face Mist: Whether it’s winter or summer, I have a face mist near by. I love giving myself a good spritz whenever my skin feels extra dry or cracked. A really good travel size is the Herbivore Botancials Rose Mist or the Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray. They are both rose scented (smells so good) and have a fine mist that won’t soak your face.

Those are the main makeup products I keep in my bag, but I also like to keep a few hair ties, dry shampoo, and hand lotion just to be prepared for any beauty emergency.

What’s in your on the go makeup bag? We’d love to hear from you!

PS: Make sure you stick around because next week we have a special announcement blog post!
