It’s the week before Christmas and Hanukkah so it’s down to the wire for all things related to the holiday season. Time for last minute gifts, baking, and prepping for family gatherings; from one thing to the next, it’s a truly hustle & bustle time of the year.
There’s lots of traveling, shopping, and preparing, so it’s a good idea to have a go-to beauty routine that can be done anywhere, anytime and is appropriate for all kinds of occasions.
I have my go-to routine for all year round but I alter it slightly for different times of the year. I love playing up classic, simple makeup during the holiday season because sometimes, less is more!
Here is my go to, quick & easy holiday glam!
- Concealer: This is always a must for me. I don’t leave the house without concealer. To me, if you have concealer, you look completely put together. My favorite of all time is the Laura Geller Baked Radiance Cream Concealer; it’s creamy, medium-full coverage, blends easily, and leaves a natural finish under the eyes. I also really love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer which is a great classic concealer.
- Mascara: I can skip eyeshadow & eyeliner any day but do not leave me without mascara. I feel incomplete without mascara so it’s the same as concealer; they are my two most worn beauty items. I love mascara that leaves my lashes fluffy & separated, so I really enjoy our GlamLASH Mascara & Benefit’s Roller Lash. We may even have a surprise at Laura Geller within the next few months that I’ve been testing & LOVING!
- Blush: I was never a blush person until I started working at Laura Geller. Laura is always saying how blush is the most important next to your eye products, and it’s also the most versatile. We pride ourselves on our blush formulas because they’re pigmented, blend-able, and long wearing. Sometimes, especially during the winter months, I skip bronzer all together & go straight to blush. My favorite of all time is the Blush-n-Brighten in HoneySuckle – the perfect bronzy nude that looks good on everyone & goes with every type of makeup look.
- Highlight: 2016 was the year of the glow so it’s only right that you end the year the same way. Applying a touch of highlight to the tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose & under your brow bone. It adds some dimension & a little bit of glam to the look. You can’t go wrong with our Baked Highlighters or the better known Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators. I love French Vanilla for everyday makeup but for a full glam look, I love Peach Glow or Ballerina!

No matter what kind of holiday gathering you’re going to, it’s always a great idea to have a safe, go to beauty routine that you love.
Here at Laura Geller we wish you the happiest holiday season & new year!
